Penalties for missing deadlines
What is the late fee for GSTR-3B?
₹50 per day (₹20 per day for nil returns), split equally between CGST and SGST, subject to caps based on turnover — plus 18% annual interest on tax paid late.
What is the penalty for late TDS returns?
A late fee of ₹200 per day until the return is filed, capped at the TDS amount, plus interest on late deposit of TDS. Penalties can also apply for not filing at all.
What happens if I miss ROC filing dates?
The MCA charges an additional fee of ₹100 per day of delay for each form such as AOC-4, MGT-7, Form 8 and Form 11, with no upper cap. Prolonged default can lead to disqualification of directors.
What if I miss the ITR deadline?
You can file a belated return with a late fee of up to ₹5,000 (₹1,000 if income is up to ₹5 lakh), plus interest on unpaid tax. Some losses can't be carried forward in a belated return.
Never miss a deadline again
We track every due date for your business and file on time — GST, TDS, income tax and ROC — with reminders before each one.
